(Media-Newswire.com) - Students at the University of Bath will take to the catwalk on Wednesday 16 March to raise money for charity.
The students are holding annual event Fashion at Bath to raise money for the charity Sue Ryder.
Some 30 models will showcase the latest Spring fashions with both national and local designers signed up to take part including Warehouse, Kurt Geiger, Henry Hunt and Republic.
Fashion at Bath organiser Jacqueline Brown, an International Management & Modern Languages student, said the event was a chance for students and local residents to enjoy a great show.
“Organising the event has been hard work but we have a committed team working together to make sure Fashion at Bath is essential viewing for those who love fashion,” she said.
“People will be able to enjoy being in the beautiful Assembly Rooms and seeing a spectacular show while knowing they are raising money for charity.”
Artizan will be styling the models’ hair while the compere for the evening is Bath voiceover artist Tanya Rich.
The students are all members of fundraising body RAG ( Raise and Give ) which aims to raise as much money as possible for local good causes.
It raised over £35,000 last year and hopes to beat that total this year.
Tickets for Fashion at Bath cost £12 for students, £20 for non-students and £35 for tickets which offer the best seating and a glass of Champagne.
The event opens at 7pm and tickets can be bought on the door.
Fashion at Bath is the first in a series of events for fashionistas.
The following week will see the launch of Fashion in Bath designed to promote the city as a great place to work, shop and live.
