(Media-Newswire.com) - Honda Motor Company is said to be recalling approximately 400,000 vehicles from its lineup due to customer complaints relating to a soft break pedal feel. The Honda recall for brake problems is isolated to their Element and Odyssey models for certain years.
The 2007-8 Odyssey and Element models are covered under this reported recall set to take place. About 344,000 Odyssey models are affected with 68,000 Elements.
The brake problem centers around a part of the vehicle called the vehicle stability assist module. Air can become trapped in the module thereby creating a soft brake pedal feel which customers have reported to Honda.
Honda will be reportedly contacting owners of the vehicles next month regarding the recall issue to have an authorized dealership check the module.
