Federal, state, and local governments need investigators, auditors, and program evaluators to determine the reliability of financial information from contractors, grantees and others. Companies seek to hire fraud examiners, auditors, and security personnel to prevent and detect fraud, so they don't become the next Enron.
Colin May, M.S., CFE—Colin graduated from Siena College in 2004 with a marketing/management degree. After working for the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Colin joined a government agency as a fraud investigator. In 2006, Colin became a Certified Fraud Examiner, an association he joined while an undergraduate. He is a senior investigator and routinely is called upon to provide expert financial investigative assistance on sensitive investigations. A sought after speaker, Colin has taught investigators from across the Federal government at the Defense Academy for Credibility Assessment, which trains all government polygraph examiners. He has also taught for the Navy and at the Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy. He holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Studies from Stevenson University and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Accounting from Northeastern University.
