(Media-Newswire.com) - A shocking event where a killer whale at Sea World Orlando killed a trainer named Dawn Brancheau after a Wednesday performance. The killer whale shamu attack was caused by the animal named 'Tilly" who has been involved in other reported deaths of humans. Conflicting stories are coming forth but could be resolved by video.
The killer whale's official name was 'Tillikum'. Media reports indicate that Brancheau was grabbed by the whale and thrashed around violently causing her to drown in the pool but there are conflicting reports that she may have fell into the tank and drowned.
Investigators and police officials were on scene to find the cause of the horrifying event.
The killer whale in question has been linked to other deaths which have not been confirmed but rumored. In 1991, the killer whale reportedly killed a trainer at the complex known as Sealand of the Pacific in Victoria, British Columbia. Another incident in 1999 resulted in a man found dead in the tank of 'Tillikum' which concluded with the report that the man snuck into the complex and died while the killer whale was 'playing' with the victim.
