(Media-Newswire.com) - Two players on the Indianapolis Colts are injured but the Colts are still favored to win this year's Super Bowl XLIV over the rival New Orleans Saints. With the injuries to Dwight Freeney and Reggie Wayne, the Colts still have many offensive and defensive weapons to win over the Saints.
Dwight Freeney has been nursing a torn ligament in his ankle for two weeks after suffering the injury in the last two minutes of the AFC championship game against the New York Jets.
Reggie Wayne, the Colts star receiver, injured his knee in a practice scrimmage on Friday but is expected to play in the game on Sunday night in Florida.
No status update for Freeney has been updated as of Saturday as he has been getting daily treatment on his ankle. The Colts defense will be hurt massively if he is unable to play which might swing the favorites into underdogs.
