Assembly monitors budget and performance of London's police and fire services
London's police service will face questions at City Hall tomorrow about how they will deliver £92.3 million savings set out by the Mayor for this year.
(Media-Newswire.com) - London’s police service will face questions at City Hall tomorrow about how they will deliver £92.3 million savings set out by the Mayor for this year.
The London Assembly Budget Monitoring Sub-Committee will also ask the Metropolitan Police Authority ( MPA ) and Metropolitan Police Service ( MPS ) about crime figures and how resources are allocated.
As part of its monitoring of the GLA group’s finances, performance and delivery of the Mayor’s priorities, the Committee will also question the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority ( LFEPA ) about staff vacancies and station upgrades.

The Committee will also question Anna Graves, Interim Assistant Director of Transport and Environment, about a Mayoral Decision ( MD427 ) [1] relating to consultancy services for an environment strategy. Members will focus on how the contract was awarded, costs and value for money.
The Budget Monitoring Sub-Committee meeting will take place at 10.30am on Tuesday, 3 November in Committee Room 5 at City Hall ( The Queen’s Walk, London SE1 ).
