WASHINGTON (April 16, 2008)--National Geographic Kids Entertainment (NGKE) and Kidtoons, a division of The Bigger Picture, an AccessIT company, have joined forces to launch "National Geographic Kids' Big Screen Safari," an exclusive, nationwide, in-theater program that will feature a diverse slate of NGKE's entertainment programming, it was announced today by Donna Friedman Meir, president of NGKE.
(Media-Newswire.com) - WASHINGTON ( April 16, 2008 )--National Geographic Kids Entertainment ( NGKE ) and Kidtoons, a division of The Bigger Picture, an AccessIT company, have joined forces to launch "National Geographic Kids' Big Screen Safari," an exclusive, nationwide, in-theater program that will feature a diverse slate of NGKE's entertainment programming, it was announced today by Donna Friedman Meir, president of NGKE.
The promotion, aimed at parents and young children, will include more than 70 minutes of filmed content screening at more than 100 theaters over four consecutive weekends in June. The program marks the first time Kidtoons has devoted an entire month to one program supplier's content, and for the first time, NGKE and Kidtoons are offering multi-platform marketing opportunities to potential sponsors that include in-theater, online, print, event and radio extensions.
Featured programming includes: -"Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies" -- A breakthrough children's series that looks at the natural world from a preschooler's perspective. The series engages kids through a unique mixture of animated characters and exceptional live-action footage from the award-winning archives of National Geographic and the BBC. The program will feature two episodes of the series and "Mama Mirabelle" music videos and "Monkey Minute" interstitials. -"Are We There Yet? World Adventure" -- A kids' global adventure series hosted by real sibling duos. From making piñatas in Mexico to dancing the hula in Hawaii, our young hosts take us on their unscripted tour of the world, sharing amazing sights and incredible experiences. -"Iggy Arbuckle" -- This fast-paced, animated buddy-comedy follows a thrill-seeking pig ranger, his best beaver buddy and a gang of off-kilter critter friends on their adventures through the wilds of Kookamunga National Park.
NGKE and Kidtoons are offering multi-platform marketing opportunities to potential sponsors that include: -In-theater screening -In-theater trailers and promotions -Online ads and promotions -Print advertising in regional parenting publications -Events at local theatres -Radio extensions via the "National Geographic Weekend" syndicated radio program on Salem Radio Network
