Alder to head Purdue College of Technology in Richmond

RICHMOND, Ind. - Barbara J. Alder, director of the Purdue College of Technology at Anderson, also will serve as director of the Purdue College of Technology at Richmond, starting July 1. In her new role, Alder will replace Brian Alenskis, who plans to take a sabbatical leave during fall semester and return to teaching full time for the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology in Richmond, starting next spring.




(Media-Newswire.com) - RICHMOND, Ind. - Barbara J. Alder, director of the Purdue College of Technology at Anderson, also will serve as director of the Purdue College of Technology at Richmond, starting July 1.
In her new role, Alder will replace Brian Alenskis, who plans to take a sabbatical leave during fall semester and return to teaching full time for the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology in Richmond, starting next spring.


Alder began overseeing the operations in Anderson and Muncie in August 2008. Prior to that, she worked in admissions and financial aid at Hanover College and the telecommunications industry for 26 years.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Hanover College and a master’s degree from Indiana University, both in business administration.

The Purdue College of Technology at Richmond offers degrees in computer graphics technology, industrial technology, mechanical engineering technology, and organizational leadership and supervision.
