The accreditation in orthotics, prosthetics and pedorthics was given in recognition of the U-M Orthotics & Prosthetics Center’s achievements in organizational management, patient care standards, quality assurance, supplier compliance, and facility and safety management. This award represents the highest level of accreditation achievable in the profession of orthotics and prosthetics.




(Media-Newswire.com) - ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Orthotics & Prosthetics Center at the University of Michigan Health System has been awarded a three-year accreditation by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc.

The accreditation in orthotics, prosthetics and pedorthics was given in recognition of the U-M Orthotics & Prosthetics Center’s achievements in organizational management, patient care standards, quality assurance, supplier compliance, and facility and safety management. This award represents the highest level of accreditation achievable in the profession of orthotics and prosthetics.

The U-M Orthotics & Prosthetics Center – part of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitaiton at the U-M Health System – is among the few institutional facilities in the country that offer comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic services to clients.
