Skin manifestations of systemic diseases will be the focus of the 2008 Southeastern Consortium for Dermatology Meeting Oct. 3-5 in Augusta. The program, presented by the Medical College of Georgia Division of Continuing Education and the Section of Dermatology in the MCG School of Medicine, will be held at the Augusta Marriott Hotel and Suites, 2 10th St.




(Media-Newswire.com) - Skin manifestations of systemic diseases will be the focus of the 2008 Southeastern Consortium for Dermatology Meeting Oct. 3-5 in Augusta. The program, presented by the Medical College of Georgia Division of Continuing Education and the Section of Dermatology in the MCG School of Medicine, will be held at the Augusta Marriott Hotel and Suites, 2 10th St.

Friday and Saturday’s agendas will feature lectures by experts in the field, including many MCG faculty, on topics including skin cancer, drug reactions and mucosal skin disease. Sunday’s program will enable physicians to diagnose and interact with patients suffering from challenging dermatological conditions, such as sarcoidosis and scleroderma, according to course director Dr. Daniel J. Sheehan, assistant professor of dermatology and pathology.
