Lecavalier (43212) has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 Early Career Award by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD), and by Division 33 for intellectual and developmental disabilities of the American Psychological Association (APA) for early career research.
(Media-Newswire.com) - COLUMBUS, Ohio – Early career research in intellectual development has won two awards for Dr. Luc Lecavalier, director of the child unit of behavior support services at Ohio State University’s Nisonger Center.

Lecavalier (43212) has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 Early Career Award by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD), and by Division 33 for intellectual and developmental disabilities of the American Psychological Association (APA) for early career research.
At the Nisonger Center, Lecavalier directs a program that serves children with disabilities and their families by developing, implementing and monitoring behavior support plans for challenging behaviors. His research focuses on diagnosis of behavior and psychiatric problems in individuals with intellectual disability including autism spectrum disorders. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 scholarly publications.
AAIDD is a cross-disciplinary association of professionals who support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. APA is a scientific and professional organization representing psychologists nationwide.
